Rowan was so excited to find out that his friend Loren would be having her final chemo treatment this week at the infusion clinic. We wanted to do something special for her, so we decided to make her special cupcakes in a jar, that she could pass out to the nurses, doctors and patients at clinic today.
Rowan helped me do the shopping...
Then we made labels for the jars, so we could personalize them...
Next up was baking, layering, frosting and decorating the cupcakes...
She likes pink and purple so we made them all pink and purple! They turned out so pretty...
Once they were all done, we packed them up with spoon and napkins...
got her some balloons too...
wrapped her present, and headed to clinic...
The nurses had already hung a banner in her room, and we got there before Loren and her Mom, so we hid in the room to surprise her...
Here she is, Princess Loren...ready for her "Last Day of Chemo Party"!
She got a balloon and a certificate from the staff...
and a cake...
Then she got to read the poem and ring the "last chemo" bell!
The whole clinic cheered and clapped for her...
Sophia was there too...
Loren and Rowan passed out the cupcakes in a jar...
I gave her a "Happily ever after" bracelet...
and Rowan gave her a present...
a puppy dog that does lots of tricks...
Rowan was so happy for her!
Once we were back home, he told me "I really wish it was everybody's last day of chemo!"
Me too Rowan, me too:)
Congratulations Loren! Continued prayers for your health, and for your family as you try to go back to "normal" life. Thanking God for your healing!
