"Days like these... is what makes me love my life even more!"

An awesome group of folks from San Antonio really knocked our socks off this past weekend by hosting a Rally for Rowan Zumbathon at BBE Fitness on Sunday.  Thank you to BBE & BCZE, and everyone who attended, donated, or volunteered.  It was truly a unique, exciting event, and you definitely put the "fun" in fundraising.

It was a super hero themed Zumbathon, so Rowan and I got dressed in our Iron Man attire and headed to San Antonio.

When we walked through the door it was a bit overwhelming, but oh so awesome! It was such a great turn out, and everyone was dressed either in their super hero costumes or their Rally For Rowan Zumbathon T-Shirts.

Rowan got up on stage to start the event, thanked everyone who put the event together, thanked everyone who came, told them he hoped they all had a lot of fun, and then added (a little choked up) "days like these...is what makes me love my life even more!"

 Some of Rowan's friends who have passed (Jalene and Julian) had family members who came out to support him too and that made it even more special.

The music was great, the exercise was fun, and the people were amazing!  Although Rowan was definitely the center of attention:) and he didn't mind at all.

It was so much fun, but he did tucker out after about an hour, and took a little nap.

He woke right up though, when Manny from Ferrari Kids showed up and asked him if he wanted to go for a spin around the parking lot.

I can't say enough about how much fun we had, and how grateful we are.  I hope all of these photos help convey that gratitude though.  Probably one of the best memories Rowan will carry with him, is dancing to "Fight Song" for the cool down session, with Dead Pool.  It was adorable.

We were able to meet up for lunch yesterday and BBE & BCZE presented Rowan with the proceeds.  They were able to raise just over $1600 between the event and the online donations.  Thank you so very much!  That money will be put to good use, contributing to his medical and travel expenses this Summer for his transplant in Seattle.
